On October 18th, 2007 in rooms of Pozega Municipality it was held training of volunteers who would be engaged in collection of signatures for civic initiatives for passing of the Law on privacy of information and amendments on the Law on Free Access to Information. CA Sretenje will coordinate action of collection of signatures in Western Serbia, in municipalities: Cacak, Uzice, Pozega, Arilje, Loznica, Valjevo and Prijepolje, in frame of the project which has been implemented by People’s Parliament Leskovac supported by Institute for Sustainable Development and Open Society Fund.
Participants were volunteers and local coordinator for Western Serbia and training was held by Ivan Grujic- People’s Parliament Leskovac and Aleksandar Gavrilovic-Let’s, Belgrade.

 
Public Discussion about Development Program

In rooms of Pozega Municipality on October 5, 2007 was held public discussion about draft of Development Program in which design representatives of CA Sretenje took part. Participants of the public discussion were, besides citizens, representatives of NVO, local authorities, councilor groups as well as Coordination team.

 
Relation between government and citizens

In Pozega, on October 4, 2007 CA Sretenje organized the lecture on theme: the Right to immediate citizen participation in realization of local autonomy. Representatives of state authorities, local government and members of Team for strategic litigation in Pozega were present . The lecture goal was presentation of the project outcomes and motivation of the community to take part in solving of issues on the local level.
The lecture is a part of the project Strategic Litigation in Local Communities supported by Canadian International Development Agency-CIDA. Although the regional and local environmental inspector, chairman of Pozega Municipality and his deputy, Manager of Municipal Administration and presidents of councilor groups had been invited beforehand, president of Democratic Party councilor group, Branko Nikolic, and the local environmental inspector, Nenad Matijevic, were the only ones that came. The others informed project coordinator, Zdenka Kovacevic, about reasons of their absence.

 
Starting of Legislative Initiative

In Belgrade, on September 30, 2007 meeting of a part of the Coalition for Free Access to Information was held, and participants were representatives of People’s Parliament- Leskovac; Youth Initiative for Human Rights- Office in Belgrade and Novi Sad; Resource Centre -Negotin and CA Sretenje- Pozega. The goal of the meeting was making an agreement about starting legislative initiative for adoption of Law on data classification, Law on personal data protection and amendment of Law on Free Access to Information.

On the meeting it was considered the procedure of collecting signatures which is to be implemented in Vojvodina, Belgrade City, West, East, South and Central Serbia.Collection of signatures will be implemented after the training of activists in all regions, at the beginning of November.

 
Presentation of draft of Development Program

In rooms of Pozega Municipality on August 28, 2007 was presented draft of Development Program for representatives of local communities, councilor groups and business sector. Draft consists of 12 topics which were considered as priority, and each of topics includes: analysis of current position, give directions and suggest strategies for problem solution.
Representatives of CA Sretenje took part in making of Program and also presented following subjects: Local self-government, Safety and Youngsters and spare time.
